Is That All There Is?
Have you ever found yourself wondering… is this it?
I was talking with a friend recently—someone going through a rough patch—and after sharing about the heartbreak, the letdowns, the exhaustion of trying to keep it all together, he looked at me and said quietly, “Is this all there is to life?”
And instantly, I was transported back to my childhood bathroom.
To early mornings with my dad—Mic—our little ritual before school and work. I’d iron his shirt while carefully pressing the pleats into my plaid uniform skirt. We’d listen to Paul Harvey, the morning news, and whatever music floated in on the bathroom radio.
For a while, it seemed like Peggy Lee’s voice was always there, singing her haunting tune: “Is that all there is?”
Even as a kid, that song stirred something in me. There was a sadness to it—a weariness I didn’t yet understand—but I felt it. And I know my dad did too, in his own quiet, grown-up way.
Looking back now, I think what drew me in was that it was honest. No pretending. No glossing things over. Just that raw, aching question so many of us carry in our hearts… especially in times like these.
But here’s what I told my friend:
“It’s only all there is if you let it be.”
Because the truth is, we always have a choice—even when it feels like we don’t.
We can choose to keep going through the motions, hoping something changes.
Or we can choose to wake up, pay attention, and make a different kind of investment—one that actually changes everything.
Not in some flashy, overnight way.
But slowly, quietly, powerfully… as we remember who we are and what we’re meant for.
I’ve lived it. I guide people through it every day. And if you’re sitting in that heavy in-between space—wondering if this is all there is—I want you to know:
You are not alone.
And you don’t have to figure this out by yourself.
If you’re ready to stop settling for “almost” and start creating something that feels deeply, beautifully yours—let’s talk.
It’s your life. Let’s make sure it feels like it.
Love & Light,
Michèle

TRADING A BEAUTIFUL STORY FOR A TRUE ONE
This week, I’m coming to you from the heart of Florence, Italy—a city I fell head over heels for when I first visited last year. From the moment I stepped off the plane in Rome (yes, the Conclave was in full swing—still no white smoke at the time), to the quiet charm of my historic boutique hotel nestled in the center of Florence, I felt something shift.
Gratitude. Joy. Ease.
Now, anyone who knows me knows how much I adore Paris. French culture has always felt like home—especially the champagne and butter. I even used to believe that purpose and passion could only exist for me there. Why? Because my mother’s family is French, and I thought that tethered me to one specific place.
Turns out, I was wrong.

EPISODE 54
What Divorce Lawyers Don’t Always Tell You About Your Mortgage
Divorce isn't just the end of a relationship — it’s often the beginning of some of the most complicated financial decisions you’ll ever face. In this week's Getting to the Heart episode, I’m joined by Jeff Landers, Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, Certified Divorce Lending Professional, and founder of Divorce House Sense®.
Together, we get to the heart of one of the most emotional — and critical — aspects of divorce: deciding what happens to the marital home.
Jeff shares the insights he's gained from more than 15 years of working exclusively with divorcing women across the country. We talk about why early negotiation is crucial, the hidden pitfalls of assuming you can simply "keep the house," and why even a fair divorce settlement can unintentionally sabotage your ability to refinance a mortgage.
